Default Corvette shorty vs LT headers

Has anyone done a comparision between the two, I know LT are better because if the flow for top end, I was just wondering how much better for a 1/4 mile, these number are jhst made up just as an example , lets say my car made 400 rwhp and ran 11.80 @ 120 at the track with shorty headers, how much better would it be with long tubes, would it be the $700 price differance between the two, or jist a couple more hp and like .2 of a sec differance

If this is a manual car you'll appreciate the midrange
torque build-out. An A4 car where the converter puts
them up on flow-peak rather than torque-peak all the
way down track, might not care so much (in both
cases the downstream gas flow is more the limiter -
from Y-merge on back).

When I went "backward" from Jet-Hot LTs to JBA
shorties I couldn't tell at WOT. Of course the Jet-Hot
Y is a craptastic design even after serious grinding,
while the SLP Y is pretty clean - there's a lot more
to it than just long vs short.

The gain isnt linear a lot of factors go into what will gain what on each app. Most people see the stock vette manifolds as shortys, not much gain is had by swapping shorties. Lets say 5. LG which has the best C5 headers claims around 25hp gain over stock, so say about 20. Keep your eyes out. My friend picked up a set of clean set of LG Street Series and X pipe for 700
