Definitely sounds pretty mean!

Now for the million-dollar questions.

What's the sound like with cutout closed?

And how are you gonna be handling the CEL from the O2 sensors knowing the cats are gone?

Can't wait for the next vids you post!

Any luck filming the car with the cutout closed today? I'm curious to hear your thoughts on the volume of the car with it closed too.

didnt get it filmed but drove it to work with it closed and it was way quiet. Way quieter and felt weird hearing the exhaust go out the back again :p

Hmmm, like full stock exhaust kind of quiet? I'm thinking if that's the case I may as well not even do it, because then the two volume levels would be "quiet" and "obnoxious" as opposed to "quiet" and "loud" with the cats in place.

I had this setup (stock mani's, ory, cutout, stock muffler) for awhile. There is a definite volume increase running no cats through the stock cat back, but isn't loud by any means.

With the cutout open, it was loud as hell to me lol. Sounded great at idle and wot... but sounded like complete *** at part throttle and had nasty rasp at 2-25k rpm. The car pulled harder with the cutout open and a tune, so i say it was worth it in between time of buying headers.

To be quite honest, if all I had to worry about was removing the cats, it'd be done already. The headache comes from properly tuning out the trouble code flags. At that point, with the money invested, it feels like it would be more worth it to go full exhaust. Of course then at that point, it feels like I should be putting other more expensive things into it to.

Oh, the plight of a car enthusiast.

I'm seriously considering doing basic structural improvements first (strut tower, panhard, subframe connectors) before I dig into this exhaust business though, at least with those things it's just bolt-in/weld in and go.

Don't mean to sound pushy about it (I'm sure it seems I'm asking many times), but you haven't happened to have a chance to record a sound clip of the cutout closed yet have you?
