Just get the lm1 its cheap and stainless and when you get tired of it it will still look good so you can sell it, I got one on my built car and it only sounds good when its idling and its loud as hell you can hear it for a mile just idling

What type of cat do you have and where did you put it? (after merge or catted y). Im thinking about doing the same thing with my exhaust.

what exhaust do y'all think would sound good on my car. i have magnaflow cat-back and its not loud enough for me, im kinda leaning towards slp l1. i would like it to be louder than my buddies 01 bullitt, he has offroad x-pipe and flowtech mufflers and as of right now his car i 10xs louder than mine.

Here's an idea of what Loudmouth 1 sounds like on a stock car, my car.

Magnaflow sounds pretty weak. Its all personal opinion though.

As far as volume goes from loudest to quietest id say

Loudmouth 1 / cut outs are the loudest by far
GMMG / Loudmouth 2
Borla
Flowmaster
Magnaflow and hooker are about the quietest

Ok, no matter what I read whether it be on this thread or any other thread on LM1's its the same thing over and over. It either sounds like *** or it doesn't. Opinions are just that, OPINIONS. Just like ********, everyone has one and they all stink.LOL! Everyone says they are drony, raspy, hollow sounding pcs of ****. However, I have a TD, Hi-flow cat, X-pipe, LT, LM1 setup and it is not raspy, hollow sounding, drony ****. Very deep, throaty, and quality sounding, and loud as hell! But again, this is an opinion, but I have had NOTHING but complements on how my car sounds and that includes old school, ole timers who grew up around and know what a TRUE muscle car should sound like and they say the sound brings them back to the " good ole days " when they had their cars. OP, take all this for what its worth, in the end its ALL about what YOU like. And I know I probably seem like a total *** but this is all typed, so no tone nor attitude can be determined so dont assume thats how I'm being cause its really not.

I agree. I have the lm1 and dislike it. Gunna swap out to a dynomax, hopefully that helps.

Best tone is subjective. I personally don't like the sound of flowmaster on our cars. If you don't want it to be too loud then go corsa but if you don't mind loud then loudmouth because it's insanely loud on the outside but not bad inside at all. Only bad thing about Corsa is the price which is insane. If I had to choose a exhaust with an actual muffler I would go Magnaflow Dual/Dual or Loudmouth with Powerflo conversion and a cutout.

Corsa is a waste of money imo. The flowmaster 80 series doesnt flow much better than stock. Id go lm1.

i think im going to get some lm1 and get some type of resonator. to give it a better tone. and im going to eventually put some electric cut-outs.

Just out of curiosity, why do you say this? Corsa makes a very nice quality system, just a bit pricey

The lm1 is a resonator and there is no point in adding a cut out to a lm1. Its not going to add any extra power. The only thing it will do is make it louder in the car since it will dump under the passenger side seat.

They dont last very long and there is no point in spending that much on a catback imo.

dude Y=GAY hahaha jk its your preference. Now I can say that the TSP true duals, sweet thunder mufflers X-pipe and Pacesetter headers are THE ****! I live in a small town so i can't really have loud exhaust because the cops around here are gay as **** dude. When I cruise around about 45 you can't even here it, put it this way i hear the whining of my rear end over my pipes. On the interstate its the same way. Now when you put your foot in it, it sounds like you are a NASCAR. Also I have the pipes running underneath the rear so it comes out the back, and it's 3 inch
