Eh yeah I guess you could say its loud but no where near as loud as it was. Before it was just all 3" with a cutout, no muffler or cats with a flowtech ypipe. Can't believe I drove it around so long with how raspy it was at times, this setup is 100% better.
Also guys with cammed cars, how much are your exhausts moving around at idle? My left pipe off the header where it bends was hitting the floor at idle with a load on the car. Had to rig up a hanger but now my floorboard vibrates

Any engine is going to be loud with a high flow mufflers, cam, and no cats! Yeah my car is mildly loud outside the car, but its just a deep rumble at Idle and part throttle that's actually soothing. Don't get me wrong, it's no angle on white fluffy clouds! It just doesn't create any drivers fatigue any more. BTW, my car's isn't loud at all inside, my last audio clip with my camera in the passenger side seat is with the driver side window all the way down. So I can still enjoy listening to my stereo with the volume down low(1/4), regardless if I have 3100 rms watts of amplifier power available.

IMO, make sure you run some high flow cats, that should quiet it down enough to suit you, if not then a Magnaflow #12909(3.5" inlet/outlet,5"x11" 22" case L) should also do a good job.

Here's my budget exhaust. Used hooker lt's, dmh cutout and magnaflow. Bought the Y a few years ago and fabbed in the merge last summer. It was a jigsaw puzzle, started with a pacesetter ORY and virtually no spare pipe.

Cleaned it up with some hi-temp paint. Left some room to add a bullet before the cutout, which I want to do yet...its really f*in loud!
