I haven't got the setup yet, the Borla muffler is on backorder and I'm broke right now. I just picked up a 2000 Yukon for our work vehicle to replace a 97 Ford Taurus that we both hated, that and we have been a little slow at work. Next week I'm planning to get the catback ordered. But I'll try to get some weights before everything goes on the car.

This weekend I'm going to get back onto working on the rear axle so I can finish up everything underneath the car and then concentrate on getting the interior put back together so I can get it back on the road this summer 2 years is too long to go without my car

I have been thinking magnaflow would be the best choice for me.

TTT for a question..... I live in California and need to remain emission compliant. I just picked up a 2OTL and want to add it, but the I-pipe i got is 3" (aftermarket).

Would a 2.5" to 3" flowmaster merge work on the stock y-pipe or would i need the SLP y-pipe?

The car is only going to get a small stall, cheaTR cam and stock LS6 topend.

They do not make that size. The magnaflow merge would work, it is dual 2.5 to 3. Part number 10778

Hey guys, I'm planning to do a custom y-pipe similar to the ones in this thread. I plan on getting a flowmaster merge(two 3" to 4"). Couple questions:
  • I need 3" catalytic converters. What brand is most reliable?
  • What bends should I purchase to hook the headers to the merge?
  • Is it worth the trouble to fit in a 4" bullet at the end of the merge?

Thanks!

I did a 3in Inlet to a 4in Outlet Flowmaster Merge into a QTP 4in Inlet/Outlet Cutout Pipe that was then necked back down to 3in and into my Hooker CB.

All my rasp is gone and witht he cutout closed and regular driving it is very quiet...

Nice, can I ask what bends did you use? I have some pics from this thread, but I would like a list from someone who has done it already.
