Has anyone tried the "Free Ram Air" mod?? I would like to know what you guys think about it. Thanks in advance.

My guess is that most people here have done it. The idea makes sense.

I don't think you can feel much of a difference, but your motor might be able to breathe a little better.

I assume your talking about cutting open the lower part of the air cleaner assembly. Worked great for me. Picked up 8-10hp and translated to about 1 mph at the track.

I would say do it and then combine a sux2bu or chris1313 ram air systems. Do a search for those two.

I'm going to do this to my car. Is it a waste of money to buy the kits

The kits have proven time and time again that they work. I run the sux2bu style. just research ram air kits.

The sux2bu ram air looks good. I will definitely build something similar.

done it and like it.... Although I did not cut out the lower intake like the how to described. I drilled nice uniform holes instead..... Will post a pic.

As promised.... Figure the filter might stay a little cleaner with the holes instead of wide open.
