My Y-Pipe keeps leaking at the the slip fit. I've got the basic band-clamp but it keeps leaking at the seam in the band clamp (where the bolt goes through the band).

Has anyone used this style clamp? It claims to not leak at the seam:

Yeah, that's what I currently have. It leaks at the bar where the two bands meet....I've tried spinning it to different spots and it always leaks there. But yeah, they usually work the best.

Wrap the exhaust tubes with aluminum tape or heavy--duty aluminum foil first before installing the band clamp.

Been there, done that, ..., it works.
