is acid dipping an iron block bad?????
so i recently bought a 99 lq9 with a little over 100k miles
im doing a swap into my 95 t/a
i sent the block off to my buddy to be acid dipped
its now on hold
because ive been told that acid dipping an iron block will warp it
is that true?
has anyone ever had that happen?
has anyone ever even heard of that before?

I've had a few blocks hot-tanked and no problems. Never
heard of acid dipping. You are not looking for the process
to remove any material other than rust / grease. If it's
going to etch clean iron, you want some other approach.
