Default What heads do you recommend?

Here are my mods.
Fast 92/92 with Whisper lid, and soon to be SLP MAF.
TSP torquer V2 cam package 232/234 112 LSA with PRC dual springs and chromoly pushrods
Full exhaust, 1 7/8 stepped longtubes, TSP ORY, electric cutout with magnaflow catback.

Based on those performance mods, what would be a good head setup? I plan to stay n/a for now, but may do a turbo setup in the future. The car will see some track and autocross time eventually but not anytime in the near future. It also isn't my daily driver FWIW. Let's hear some opinions.

I just bought some 799's today and they will be going to AI for their best CNC within the next couple months. I have no personal experience with the Patriots, but i've seen them mentioned as a lower rung head. I say if your going to spend the money, do it right. I'm not saying AFR's, but don't just buy the cheapest you can find. Just my .02

I think most will recommend cast 220's or 2.5 ls6 head in that price range. Really depends on what will work best with that cam. I'd put a call in to TSP and vengenance and talk to them.

The 317's off a lq4 truck block flow pretty good too especially if you plan to go turbo. theyll be cheaper even if you port and polish them then buying new heads.

i have heard only good things about the 317s,, more plus than minus?

the breathing more than compensates for compression loss, and you can run regular gas.

if i was going for N/A ,i would want around 11-12 to 1, and EXpensive fuel.

course i like boost, easy way to make power.

I am liking those edelbrock terminators... Those would put me around 490 rwhp. And what do you mean regular gas? These cars were designed for premium

most stage 3 ls1 heads have big intake valves which are too close to the cylinder wall which will hurt flow and power.I feel a torquer 2 cam with any ls1 style head will not make 450+ rwhp.whats your budget for heads ?look at TSP heads,or consider some trick flow or AFR heads.you will benefit greatly with a custom cam if you upgrade heads.a custom cam only cost $25 more, contact Pat-G after you have read some of his informative threads.

Compression requirements are completely different for NA and boosted applications. I'd decide what you're long term plans are and go from there. But, to me it sounds like you have budget constraints now, so I'd recommend a stock head with CNC work done. You can pick up some very nice gains for the money. Look at what AI has to offer for stock LS1 heads....

I second this. Look at TSP and other shops. You need to know what you are going to want to do. If you go with some stage 2.5 5.3 heads and later you want to go with some boost, it isn’t going to be optimum. If you are looking at maybe going boost you need to go with a bigger CC that will flow. The 317 are a fave for a reason.

The terminators are edelbrock heads ported by TSP. But I dont think they port them anymore.
