Default Catted Y pipe for BBK Headers?

Outside of chopping up a y pipe and welding cats in, is there a catted y pipe that would fit nice with BBK's 1 3/4's headers?

I have a GMMG catback thats the only reason why i'm going with a catted y pipe instead of ory.

So are you just wanting to add cats to keep the GMMG catback sounding good?
If you do then just add a Magnaflow Spun highflow cat (#59959) right at the end of the y-pipe merger.

So 1 cat would be enough?

Yeah I drive a lot and don't want this thing insanely loud and unbearable. I've driven an F body before with GMMG no cats and it was like NASCAR at all RPM's, lol. Sounded like **** to me at the time.

Cam, manifolds, cats, and GMMG sounds perfect to me right now, but those extra ponies are desired.

I think it should be enough.

I tried ORY with my GMMG and you said it - insanely loud and unbearable. Horrible rasp. I went to a custom 2.5" catted Y and that wasn't enough. It took a powerstick in the I and resonator tips to get it toned down.

I wouldn't go with one cat - too restrictive. I'd hack the BBK Y and install two. And then a bullet muffler or powerstick in the I.

Good to know I wasn't the only one that thought it sounded like that.
Everyone bows to the GMMG, and don't get me wrong I love it the way it sits right now...BUT it sounds like **** if not properly set up.

I think I'll follow your advice on this and go with two of those magnaflow cats along with the powerstick.

Yep, like you, l loved my GMMG when I was on stock manifolds/cats. When I installed the LT's, I was stunned that something that sounded so pretty could sound so ugly.

No! You have to use the BBK y-pipe, the stocker won't work.
