Its shiny in the first pic and dirty in the second pic. They almost look photoshopped.... I think they are real but he clarity and brightness seems to vary in a lot places.

Is it just me?

notice he modified the trunk well area to fit the other muffler as well, so there is body work involved.

LG motorsports did this car back in 03. The mufflers are BMW. Remises? I think. Contact LG he would have information still.

Update: I jus' had an exhaust shop custom fab a true-dual system. I don't know how the guy in the pics did it but there is really no room at all for routing the pipe over the axle on the driver's side. The exhaust shop routed two 2.5" pipes over the axle on the passenger side. It looks really good and sounds great. I'll post pics of my setup later.

Looks really sweet, however it doesn't seem like a practical option for most of us.

Please see explanation below. He is correct, you are not.

Actually, you're both right in your respective points.

You said it yourself earlier. If you go oval, you HAVE to go biger to make up for the oval. Typical 4" exhaust ovalized would yield a pipe that is 4 3/4" wide, and 2 1/2" tall.

For any given cross-sectional area, an oval tube will have more internal surface area than a round tube. That means more boundary layer drag.

Red is correct in saying that if you take a 2.5" exhaust pipe and smash that pipe down, the above rule applies, and you have effectively reduced flow rate.

So you're both right. Just take into account the sizing.

Ok, call it a draw. I'm cool with that!

I will going with a 3" Oval tubing for my true dual system only because the car is lowered, otherwise I would run round tube all the way.

From the headers to the 'Over the Axle' pipe will be oval. The rest is round duals to muff and out as round duals. Should sound awesome I think!
