Default What is this welded on my Pacesetter LT headers?

This is my first LS car and my first car with headers. I bought the car with the headers already installed. They are Pacesetter 225 LT headers. Here is a stock photo of them. They came like this, but I have no idea what they for as I am not using them for anything. I was wondering if they could just be cut off and sealed up. I haven't seen headers with these types of plates before. I am assuming they are for some kind of sensors, but I wouldn't think there would be so many of them. Can someone help me out here? I am trying to learn and read what I can find, but didn't find any answers. Thanks

Those fittings are for the AIR and EGR systems. And yes you can cut them off and weld them up if you so choose.

What he said above is correct. They don't really hurt you to leave them... and I have heard of people eventually blowing the seal off the headers after they do this... so I guess make sure you seal it real good if you plan to cut those fittings off.

I'll just leave them be then. I have just never seen them on a set of headers before and I wasn't using any of them. Thanks for the info.
