Too bad I just cleaned out the garage and threw one away. You could have had it for the shipping cost.

both the ls1 and ls6 intakes have really gone up in price as of late. I had a tough time finding one for $100 even.

I just relisted it on ebay and it's already at $160. Crazy right? I haven't seen an ls6 intake lately for under $400 either. The last time I bought one of those, I spent $275.

Yes a little difference, but nothing crazy!

All the "little" mods add up in the end.

Heads, cam, intake, exhaust, headers, all those 10-20 hp's add up to 100hp in most cases

Yeah, I'm pretty sure I tossed mine too.

All you newbies, get the LS6 intake manifold. It's a good starting point to adding "bolt-ons" for some more ponies.

For those starting with truck engines LS1 intake is a step BACKWARDS from a truck intake. If putting a truck motor in a car a car intake might be needed clearance wise but NOT HP wise.

Everyone wants them simply because they look better.

A lot of people swapping them in other vehicles and like the clean Ls1 engine look..

Not the vortec engine look..

A lot of people are stupid and blindly assume "car" parts make more power than "truck" parts.

Then there is the clearance issue, the truck intake is tall and a lot of aftermarket retrofit adapter engine mounts are halfassed and very tall. End result being even on vehicles with lots of underhood room they need a short car intake.

Default ls1 intake

I am looking for an LS1 or 6 intake, throttle body, fuel rail, and injectors for my LM7. Seems like 400.00 for everything is the average on ebay.

Too bad you couldn't run a truck manifold, there are 3 or 4 on E-Bay for $50 - $70 complete with rails, injectors, and TB. Search for user bding44...
