I have a FAST 90 throttle body coming. I'm looking at intake manifold options. Either a FAST 90, 102 or just getting an LS2 manifold since it already has a 90mm snout on it.

maybe you are just a good enough driver to overcome the hp increase the FAST would give the other guy

I picked up 13rwhp and 10rwtq goin from my ported ls6 to a fast 90 that I ported. Car was noticeably quicker. There were points where it picked up 12-14 more under the curve. The 90 was so much better I even moved the rev limit up 200rpm because it carried the power better.........your results may very

This was on my crate ls6.

The Fast intakes are junk......don't wast your money on them. there's an article on the web that shows how porely they are made.

the runners arn't sealed properly at the seats and there is a ridge on the runners where they are seamed together that isn't sealed either. not to mention the thread sets in them pull out way to easily.

get you a good BBK intake, polish the runners and port the TB side and you'll be alot happier in the long run like me, but without blowing a grand in the process like i did.

Do the BBK 85 intakes perform the same as the FAST 90/92's?

No ****. There is a reason you don't see bbk intakes on half as many cars as you do fast intakes.

The fast is better than a bbk but at its price it should be. I still think the fast is over rated especially for cars that never see the track.

Vacuum in the intake is costing you power weather it sees the track or not. Where you drive it has nothing to do with if it's overrated or not.

Yes, I will agree a lot of cars have a fast intake and don't need it. But to some people like me, if I out ran the capabilities of the ls6 intake, I would go straight for the fast...Even if it was just a weekend cruiser. Simply because if I change my mind in The future, I don't Have to buy yet another intake, and I think all aluminum, stock style intakes are hideous.

Don’t get the BBK. I have it and got it for the price difference and all the other "pros" about it. The quality is sub par, the burst plate WILL leak if boosted, and the heat soak is terrible. If I could do it all over again I would have spent the extra coin for the FAST. Just sayin.

But if you mean just someone taking their sanding rolls to the opening and the runners of the ls6 intake...total rip off from the results I've seen posted.
glad to know haha thanks

I sold my Mamo ported FAST90 for $650 probably 8 months ago. Then I needed another and bought a ported 90 less than 6 months ago for $550. The deals are there, just don't get ripped off. The 102 is better than the 90/92, it's a better made piece all together.

Can the stock fuel rails be used on a fast 90/90 setup? I'm thinking about selling my ls6 intake but don't know how much work and money would be in the fast 90 set up

Hmm that makes me wanna do it even more. I have a brand new ls6 intake still in the box never installed and found a ported 90 fast with 90 mm nick Williams tb included for $1400. If I could sell the ls6, you think that'd be worth it?
