Question Spark Plug Gap

Do NGK TR-55's come pre gaped? or do I need to gap them, If so what do I gap them too?

They are pre gapped, but you cannot rely on that. I have pulled them out of the box gapped as narrow as .023.

Gap them anywhere between .050 and .060 and you will be fine.

Yea, dont trust the "pre-gap" BS. Mine ranged from .03 to .065. Just get a 1 dollar guage and get it at least around .055 and you cant go wrong!

my first set of plugs from ls1speed werent pre-gapped but thy other ones from TR (IIRC) were, they all checked out at .055

it doesn't hurt to double check the gap. i gap mine at .50.

I've been told I should double check the gap on my plugs from the factory - so after washing and waxing, that's what I'm up to today. If they are new, it's like $0.69 for a gap checker at the checkout of the local parts store and an extra 30 seconds per plug, so it's definitely worth double checking.
