Default BBK Headers

Do the lontube BBK headers, http://www.bbkperformance.com/produc...ch-y-pipe.html, work with EGR and if not what would I do? Just leave it unplugged and tune it out?

BBK only sells race headers for the Fbody so theres no EGR or AIR tubes. You would want to delete these items & tune them out with BBKs.

Leave them unplugged and only issue u will have is check engine light, won't hurt performance or motor at all, or pay for a tune and get those codes deleted plus 2nd o2s if u need to

You will get a Check Engine light as a consequence of not tuning out the EGR/AIR systems; if that doesn't bug you then it's fine, but you can't just "unplug" those systems. You must remove them/pull the AIR fuse/plug the EGR inlet on the front of the intake manifold/plug the AIR inlet at the back of the intake manifold. You must do this to avoid a vacuum leak.

As stated they are made as Race Headers, no EGR/Air/Cats.

If you decide to go that route, PM me before buying. I have the Ceramic and Chrome ones in stock, discounts for LS1Tech members,!

Easy, I have BBK as well..just take off the EGR and pull out the air pump..its all forward stuff really..

Then get a mail order tune so you can get the rrearO2,AIR, and EGR all deleted

The BBK ORY comes with the rear sensor plugs so I dont know why you would buy drain plugs. The thread size is actually 18mm X 1.50.

No, I dont recommend those. Not that great of a deal, just painted headers that will rust up very quick & you will need a Y pipe too.

my bbks didnt come with plugs for the rear so when i deleted my rear o2 sensors i found something that worked drain plugs and yeah sorry 18mm 1.50 threads. i could of left the old o2 in there but it looked cleaner underneath with them gone and stainless drainplugs in there

You'll find 3 hoses from the AIR system that route around under the hood and lead back to a round thing on the rear (driver) side of the intake. If you can get back there, there is supposed to be 1 little nub you can cap off. Well, I got tired of slicing my arms up under the cowl, and got lazy, so I just got back there with some snips and cut those hoses off as short as I could and plugged all three to be safe. They're completely back out of sight so I didn't really sweat the details.

Also, there is no reason to extend and continue to use rear O2 sensors in an off-road Y-pipe, but if you're not saving those rear o2s, you can just clip the wires off and use them in the bungs. Otherwise, yes, you do need bolts or something to plug those bungs.

Is the BBK ORY ok? I noticed it was only 2.5-inches. I have a 3-inch borla cat-back & don't want to put the squeeze on my system by having the smaller ORY.

2 2.5" pipes flow better than a single 3".
