Default anyone installed a LS6 with a modified 90mm LS2 mouth?

Has anyone had a TPIS modified LS6 manifold, its basically the LS6 manifold with LS2 90mm mouth opening Anyone had used this manifold? Is it wrth the money?

TPIS Description and I have attached a pic
Need more air for your modified LS engine. Stick on a brand new LS6 intake with our modified 90mm nose. With this 90mm LS6 intake manifold, you get the best of both worlds. With a bigger opening and an excellent manifold design, you'll make more power everywhere in the RPM range with no torque loss when compared to a factory intake. If you already have an LS6 intake and want it modified with our 90mm nose, we can do that too. Just give us a call.

I have one (TPIS 90mm LS6 manifold w/VMAX CNC LS2 tb), I only had it on a day before my trans blew but I felt a good difference over the ported LS2 I had before. I don't think they use an LS2 snout, it looks like something they cast themselves and then secure it to an LS6 manifold.

A ls2 throttle body... Ported they are still 90 just hollowed out a little more and flows better due to being smoother transition of the air going through.

If you want to save money you can open a stock LS6 snout to 85mm

Very carefully! You would have to use a grinder to open it up, however you will be grinding into the channel that houses the O-ring so you will need to find another method to get it to seal properly. FYI an LS2 tb is 90mm but is drive by wire , i.e. motor operated and has a 4 bolt flange, so unless you have a vette you will need to look into other TB options or adapter plates with 3 bolts for the 85mm route..

A LS2 90mm is by wire but the LS2 is by cable so wouls I need some sort of adapter? This way I wnt have to grind or step dwn to the 85mm

An LS2 tb is by wire and 4 bolts, if you were to do a LS6 modded with a 90mm snout the LS2 will fit but can't be operated by a cable set up. Hense the need to get a cable driven 90mm tb I.E a FAST or Nick Williams etc. If you mod the stock LS6 by grinding it out to 85mm you can use a ported stock tb, or a BBK or other brand 85mm 3 bolt tb but need to figure out the gasket for proper sealing. You can even use a 90mm cable driven tb but you will need a 4 bolt to 3 bolt adapter plate because most if not all 90mm TB's are made with 4 bolts to fit FAST or LS2 intakes.

bro settle down lol

your over thinking this, get a ls6 with a ported stock tb, and use your savings towrds other mods. A ported ls2 has minor gains.. emphasis on minor.. over a untouched ls6. If you want a bigger snout, invest in a fast.. its not that much more, over a fully ported ls2 intake and tb, and its the best in the business.

heres the rule of thumb,
bolt ons - ls6/ported tb
h/c - fast 102/102.. or tony mamofied 102/102
