Default Header wrap?????

I have pacesetter lt's and I have them wrapped. I have heard that wrapping can destroy the headers. So should I remove the wrap and just paint them. No bs plz, b/c takin them off and painting them isn't exactly my idea of a fun day.

You should not have wrap up by the head because
then you would perhaps keep too much heat in and
put it onto the primary welds, thermal or heat cycle
issues as the welds are the weak / brittle point.

Further down the wrap is a probable bonus to O2
sensor operation.

Just have to balance the amount of heat to be kept.
I would say to wrap from 2" below the last (if any)
AIR / EGR fitting, to past the O2 bungs. Though
maybe you will get a more authoritative answer.
