Upgrade the MAF to 85mm is it wrth it?
My car does not, but a lot of people seem to have no trouble on f bodies. Your call there.
Cost was $50 on ebay and $29 for auto wiring solution's adapter harness.
Tunability was far easier than anyone here makes it out to be. The instructions for MAF dial in are found on HP Tuners/PCM Tuning sub forum here.
It also had the benefit of solving my warm start/ac/defroster issue. The car "feels" smoother now.
So far I still have no complaints with my sensor. I also upgraded the screen to an aftermarket larger mesh one. But so far my track results continue to show no improvement. I would not recommend this upgrade to anyone with a working stock MAF on a car not making past the 450rwhp mark unless it's a killer deal.

IMO it seems it would take a badass heads/cam combo to really see a worthwhile gain (more than standard dyno variance pull to pull)
If you upgrade the MAF to an 85mm version, you will want to upgrade to the FT 98mm Air lid so you do not have to use a reducer.
If you don't want to buy an 85mm MAF and want some extra flow potential, you can buy our ported MAFS ends which have a larger internal volume and no screens. You usually will need to tune the ECU after this to achieve the proper A/F ratio. Some cars that run a little rich from the factor at WOT will actually see a power gain from Ported MAF ends with no tune as it tends to lean out the A/F ratio.
