Header Install. Heat shield on Driver motor mount. I see there is a heat shield on the driver motor mount. I have BBK headers going in. Is this heat shield have to go back on. I don't see what it really does. Those stud bolts that hold the Drivers side clamshell to the block are a PITA. Thinking about getting some bolts like the Pass side. All in all big job but not to bad. Just time consuming.....
I did poly mounts at the same time and couldn't get that shield to fit with the additional clamshell bolts there. If you are doing polys and you manage to get that shield back on please snap a pic. Those shields are there for a reason imo and headers are hotter than the manifolds.
