I have been doing some research and have seen some reasonably priced intakes on eBay. What is everyone's thought on the typhoon ls6 intakes preferably the 96mm model and a 85mm throtle body? What kinds of gains and differences will I notice?



This is what I have done so far to my car

2000 Z28 Custom tune, slp air box/ram air, granetelli Mass air, Hooker long tubes/dual cats no mufflers, 19"(front) 20" (back) Diablo Wishbones

 

The Typhoon intake is similar to the LS6 intake and will make a little more power up top over the LS6 from what I've seen around here.

Don't believe the "heatsoke" bs.

 

That intake is made for a 4 bolt throttle body. Is the 85mm a 4 bolt or 3 bolt?

 

They are both from the same company. Not sure the bolt pattern, it says direct fit

 

They do appear to have a 96mm model for LS2s, guessing that is going to be a 4-bolt setup.
