Default 02 Trans Am hesitates in all gears and backfires

Hey Guys...
Im having issues as of yesterday where my car hesistates in all gears and backfires like crazy. It idles at about 800 rpms and feels smooth but when i put my foot on the gas its rather rough and backfires. It does it from a start, while cruising etc... does not matter, just seems random. I hope that someone can point me in the right direction. thanks...

Info : 02 Trans Am WS6, K&N Airfilter, Hooker LT's...

P.s: It is NOT giving me any codes...

Sounds like a fueling issue to me. Have you changed fuelk filters recently? I had a lot of trash in mine when I first bought it and changed filters every 2k miles 2 or 3 times and it went away.

When I swapped valleys I also found out that the stock gaskets on my intake manifold were SHOT, which led me to believe some of my hesitation under WOT was also due to a vacuum leak from the shot gaskets.

Mine gave no codes either.

Unplug the maf and drive down the road see if it clears up.

Does it clear up in gear above a certain rpm? Would point towards o2s.. Did you use extensions or vette?

Those are the most coming issues with your problem.

I cleaned out the MAF, cleaned my airfilter and changed the spark-plug wires... those wires were shot. It seems to run ALOT better full throttle and i have yet to hear a pop but ill give you an update when i drive it tomorrow.

Fuel filter? Changed it yet?

Maybe your plugs are shot. Again, when I did my headers in November, 3 of my plugs were cracked.

I had a car do that to me but it was a coil. I would think it would throw a code though.
