Default Fast 92

Purchased a fast 92 intake/TB from a member on here. Wondering what all parts I need to have to install this in my 99 TA? It doesn't seem like it will be too difficult but its seems the more I read from different places its like Im continuing to have to buy more parts.

Button head bolts for the valley cover and gaskets. Your rails and injectors transfer over as do all your sensors

One thing I found was putting in a LS6 valley cover. My engine doesn't leak oil but would this be a good idea to do anyways?

What about the coolant pipe going over the intake, will the stock one still fit?

This is a widely debated topic, personally I do not see a reason to do it, especially since you will have to notch your block. I redid my PCV system for 20 bucks and didnt burn any oil

It is a pretty much direct swap as long as you have the gaskets and correct VC bolts.

Yes you will need LS6 coolant lines... And button head bolts for your valley. I personally wouldn't go LS6 valley... Just redo your existing PCV line... No bulky catch can either... All injectors, rails and sensors to TB will work on the 92... Do u have TQ specs for the valley and intake bolts??? Good luck! Sweet intake bro!

TQ specs!

Valley is 18ft/lbs

Intake is 44INCH/lbs the 1st pass and to 89INCH/lbs the 2nd and final round!

I cant Paste the Diagram that shows the pattern to TQ bolts from my phone... Just look up on google... Goodluck with intake

Quick question for you guys, i bought my car with the fast 92 already on it. I had someone that has been around these cars forever say i need to take it back off asap and swap the coolant lines because it still has the stock ones going under the manifold. He said its going to wind up cracking. Is this really needed? It has been on the car for a while now and runs fine, it picked up 34whp on the dyno when the previous owner put it on and hasnt had any issues.

What year is your car? If u have 01-02 u have the LS6 coolant lines. If not u MAY have to swap lines... I doubt whoever put on that intake kept LS1 lines. But if u see the coolant line run under the intake you still have em...

While ur down ther check out the valley cover bolts... If they arnt the button heads SWAP em out... That will crack your intake aswel

My car is a 98. It has an ls6 block in it with dart heads. I was thinking since its an ls6 and had an ls6 intake before it should be right, but there is def a hard line coming out from underneath the front of the manifold. I went ahead and picked up the ls6 coolant line and plugs as well as the buttonhead bolts.

Did the allen head valley bolts and ls6 lines last night, i think the ls1 coolant line is the only thing that saved my fast from cracking, the valley bolt heads had a very slight mark imprinted in the intake (check inside, no cracks or humps), seems like if the line wasnt there it would have been worse. Overall it was pretty simple except for one of the gaskets popping out and being stubborn. Also found out the intake was port matched by the previous owner/builder so that was cool.
