Budget Build 370ci
Have a buddy of mine that has a lq9 block with no rods and pistons thats bored 30 over so would these be a good piston to run with 5.3 heads and nitrous??
http://www.summitracing.com/parts/SLP-H857CP75MM/
trying to keep this low on cost so seeing what you guys think of those if not..which ones should i run?? ive read alot of threads and see plunty of guys doing the 370s with 5.3 heads with no issues so i know its a solid setup but everyones running different pistons so i figured id ask!
also can i run Stock rods with those pistons??
all info is appreciated!

I am not sure if the stock rods will work with those pistons or not. I have a budget 370 myself, but used Diamond pistons as they have a flat top (-2cc valve reliefs) that uses stock rods. I am also running PRC Stage 2.5 5.3 heads for a 12:1 compression ratio.
If you want the Diamond part number, let me know and I can look it up for you. I got mine ordered from Speed Inc on here.
If you contact a vendor like Speed Inc or Texas Speed and Perf., they will let you know your options with stock rods.

check out my build, I used these pistons. As long as the rods are the ones with bushings you can use them.
I actually used the flat pistons H1129CT
