I know what they are talking about.

It was the only pic of my headers that I had. And you must be seeing things because there is no rust on my headers. Trust me.

Clearance aside, the SLPs will not make as much power as the QTPs, this has been proven quite a few times in the past.
Plus the stainless on the SLPs is the cheaper, rusting 403 stainless if I recall, not the better quality 304 stainless of the QTPs, though that coating will help matters.
I would never put SLP LTs on my car unless they were free.

I installed my Hooker headers the same day as the major blackout that hit the northeast. This is what they look like about 7 months later. I guess it could be attributed to something other than the coating b/c the primaries at the heads are not quite this bad. I looked at them this weekend b/c of the previous thread. I also noticed while down there that one of my primaries was rubbing my k-member on the driver's side at some point. There was only a little gap between the header and the k-member during installation which I thought would be enough. I know now that it wasn't enough clearance, but it was nothing a dremel could not handle. If you have Hooker or Jet Hots I would check and make sure you have no clearance issues on the driver's side.

Seems like its more of a regional thing. Hell, I had non-coated MAC headers on my first LS1 f-body for about 2 years and when I removed them to sell, they still looked great and had no rust.

I also had some non-coated FLPs, and coated Dynatechs, and still no rust on those either.
