Plugs were replaced with the headers, and I just recently did the wires.

Car is untuned.

I already have a stock MAF on its way, so I am going to throw it back on... the problem is I won't really know the difference until I can get back to the track though.

A copy of my Dyno sheet before the ported MAF and ported TB.. the car was making good power, tons of it under the curve... so with that power there I know my trap would have been a bit higher then 106.. I was thinking around 109-110. I'm afraid though that a ported MAF can't **** up my HP enough to kill 4-5 HP in the quarter mile though...

The dyno I went to did not have wideband.. so I couldn't tell you what my AF ratio was.
Just curious (I'm definately the lowest experience member posting here), did you get tuned after you put the ported MAF on? Is it a calibrated one or a self-port? I know that if it's not, it causes the motor to run rich (causing lower performance) because it's afraid to detonate. Does this seem like an on-track question, Ya'll?

well if you are using that much oil and its not on the ground, guess where its going! right through your throttle body most likely. i hear that can cause a fair amount of knock retard. i think we are getting warmer here! run a heavier weight 10w30 or (page him to check or do a search) patman is running 0w40(?) and is having luck with that. get a catch can! i need one too. good luck

I just changed my oil today, used some 10w 30 castrol. The 5w30 mobil 1 syn like I said burned 2 quarts in 3k miles. Most of it was easy driving also... a trip to Panama city took up most of those miles.

Self ported MAF, untuned car. I went back to stock before the latest dyno though.

I am pretty sure the computer is just retarding timing instead of it being an actual mechanical problem, stupid Ls1 senstive PCM's.

Tuning is probaly my only hope.
