PTC can do a billet with no problem, I think they told me $650, but was not needed for my application.

you think a 3000 is bad, I just sent my PTC off monday and put in the stock converter for a couple weeks to make it to some get togethers and such. Its a real PITA thats for sure. Barely any vaccum for the brakes can hardly keep the damn thing stopped

Hey thank all of y'all for the info. MUCH appreciated!! Gess were goin with a 4000 stall
I'll be sure to give all the makers listed above a call real quick and get some prices. I'm leaning more towards Yank but I'll be sure to let y'all know what I go with. "I wouldnt run a 3000 stall if it were given to me for free..." LMFAO

Yank PT4000 here and enjoying it. If your going to stay NA then the Yank PT will give your more shift extention that the Yank SS. Meaning it will keep you in a higher RPM band and you won't drop as much RPMs between shifts. The Yank SS convertors are more for the NOS sprayers.

www.converter.cc is Yank's site. It would be $795 from them, you can check vendors that stock Yank converters, I'm not sure which all do.

Ptc no matter what size.

4000 recommended.. 3600 would be on the small side.

FWIW I had a pt4400 in the old car in my sig. Was a DD. Even drove from Va to Ca twice and still got 24 mpg. Had a Vigilante 4k before that one and the difference was night and day. Needless to say I recommend a Yank.

I just ordered the circle d 2e myself which is a 4000. My question is since my trans is still bone stock, what do most people do when they install the converter, do most of you guys use a rebuild kit or just leave it as is

Tune out the torque management and get a shift kit. That's my plan.
