Default TSP X pipe back

Picked up a used TSP duel set up with long tubes and getting ready to run the exhaust out the back to keep the sound down inside the cab. I also live in a small sub division so i need to keep the noise down a little.

Question one: can i run both pipes over the passanger side axle and if so what diameter size have others ran. I would like to keep it 3 inch but i know i might need to drop it back down to 2 1/2 to keep it from rubing. Its on a very mild LS1 4th gen so its not like 2 1/2 is going to choke her.

Question two: Should i take this time and add two resonators before the mufflers to keep her on the mild side. My exhaust is Texas Speed Rumbler with bullet mufflers.

There really isn't a lot of space for resonantors before the mufflers. You may be able to fit some small bullets just before the tips to knock the edge off.

Honestly man, as long as your respectful and not hauling *** around in your sub division then you will be fine.

I don't like to start my car past 10:00 if I can help it, and I drive slowly through the neighborhood. My neighbors have never mentioned it to me.

If you not camming your car won't even be that bad.

If your worried about it switching to two quieter mufflers would really help if your not going to add resonators.

LOL. See thats the issue I leave for work at 0530. And yeah i did think about swaping out to a magnaflow or some other muffler with a chamber but a lot of guys have been telling me its not that bad if you run the extra pipe out the back. I was kind of kicking around your idea too of adding two resonators right before the tips.

I am still not sure if i want to try to run two 3 inch pipes over the passanger side of the axle or if i should drop down to 2 1/2.

You cant run over the passenger side because of the design of the TSP system, you have to go under the axle or over both sides

Never seen some one run it over both sides before. I was going to try and copy the hooker dual set up.

Can it be done? Yes

Is it cost effective? Not even close.

I did it over the axle on both sides with two more red-hot bullets.

Linkage to pix

Complications are a big wire pack on drivers side that needed to be drilled out and re-located.

The pix will show you but its reduced just after the TSP Dynomax 3" bullets to 2.5", crosses into the 2.5" red-hots and out on factory looking tips. Lots of pipe, heavy, but very quiet

All my car deets and other TSP goodies in my sig.

^^^^
Looked on the drivers side and wow that looks like a good bit of work. Not only the wires but the brake lines and all that good stuff.

I talked to the welder today and he thinks he can get 2 3-inch pipes over the passager side axle with out hitting the axle. Im not so sure to be truthfull but he does do damn good work from what i have seen so maybe. I am also thinking about removing the heat shield around the fuel tank and just using exhaust rap on the pipes around the tank and over the axle.

If you are going to use the TSP DUALS as your start you wnt be able to run both over the passenger side like the KOOKS DUALS.

And you cnt run 2 3" pipes over the driver side. I dnt see that happening.

Use the TSP DUALS and try to copy the BASSANI DUALS. One pipe over each side. Then cross into 2 resonators. Or just straight out back after the axle.

I'm positive you will need to reduce from 3"- 2 1/2" after the bullets under the car.

You should get price quote from your exhaust shop 1st. You might be better off getting the BASSANI if he wants to charge you $400+

Goodluck

Its from a friend that does welding. He is going to charge $200 for every thing from the bullets back.

You can run 2 3" pipes over that side, I have personally seen it done. But op start with a Universal kit rather than hacking up the TSP system

So then 2 1/2 inch should fit over the passanger side with no problem then?

At the exhaust shop now doing 2 1/2 on both sides. Mounting both mufflers under the fuel tank around the same area as the stock muffler would be except now there is one on each side.
