As of a month ago there was no longer a choice. You wanted duals, you got bullets.

I went from a slp 2otl exhaust to a tsp true duals with sweet thunder mufflers. BIGGEST MISTAKE I EVER MADE. The ground clearance was terrible and they were so freaking loud. I hated my car instantly. There are ory set ups out there that help with the rasp. I don't remember my qtp headers with the qtp y pipe and flowmaster merge with the 2otl being raspy at all.

If you want a quick and dirty comparison, check out the vid in my sig. It shows a marked difference in sound.

I've got the TSP duals with their bullet mufflers (different from the Dynomax Bullets they use to offer). I have no rasp at all and it's by far the best sounding exhaust on an F-body I've ever heard. Your neighbors may hate you, but **** them; you'll love it.

+1 for the sweet thunders. They sounded better than the borla ler system imo. It was nice and deep at idle and part throttle, but wide open it sounds like it means business. Especially with a cammed car

I have had flowmasters, LM1, dynomouth, Magnaflow. None of them are even in the same sentence with bullets. The sound of bullets is pure muscle.

IMO, I thought at cruising speeds LM1 was louder than my bullets dumped. LM1 was unbearable.

Magnaflow is too quiet. Anybody notice when members post pics all the catbacks all sound the same on a fbody? Throaty, and raspy.. OR they rev it up to 5k to hear the exhaust come to life. ..LMAO

Duals is just intimidating at startup and idle. It is pretty tame at cruising speeds. It gives that sound that your car isnt to be f*cked with..

Just think what putting Loud Mouth 1 Resonators on a dual setup would be like. I remember seeing one video on youtube. Pretty sure when he started it up, he set off a car alarm.

no rasp at all with my TSP duals. Just sounds very loud and I can't stay out of the throttle. Ground clearance isn't the best but I don't drive it everyday to really worry about it.

Soooo pretty much your just saying your a vagina?? I'm kidding.

No y-pipe set-up will ever sound as good as a dual set-up plain and simple.

Love my duals....have had flowmaster (first&stupid setup) then loudmouth (better but too much rasp) now duals with s. thunders. No rasp..pure muscle/racecar sound that no Y setup can acheive imao. And that drone you hear of....that's pure sex to me, 57mph and 78mph are the sweet spots. I swear since duals, I hardly listen to sterio/cd player.

clearence is an issue yes... my advice when installing. button everythign together but leave the band clamps loose till your done with the tips. i did that and put a floor jack under each tip and lifted it till it touched the floor pan. drilled the holes and bolted them. with the jack still under the tips..tightened the band clamps. let the jack down and only had about a 1/4 inch drop. very tight and very nice. about 5 inches from tip to ground.

*downside* stock motor mounts and with the flex i get some rattle when first accelerating.. pipes tapping the floor pan. once it stops no more tapping. i can deal with it till i swap the mounts to polys.
