Default Cold Air Inductions Inc Intake questions(IAT)

So I just bought a 04 gto and the car has this intake on it
http://www.coldairinductions.com/sto...-air-intake-54

I saw my iat's in the high 150's low 160's. I took it off today to clean the MAF today and the pipe was scorching hot, almost to hot to touch. I was wondering if it would be better to get one made of plastic or what direction I should go in.

Granted its in the 90's today but with the IAT's that high the car feels like a dog, it just feels real slow and I was wondering if this could be why.

Any ideas on if I should keep this one and just get a plastic or if the ceramic coated would be better than plastic?

I have an 1989 Trans Am with a homemade 4" aluminum cold air intake. It has a thermal barrier ceramic coating inside and out. I have yet to see it get above 115 degree sitting in traffic. My IAT guage is in the plenum to boot which is also ceramic coated inside and out. I don't know that to tell you unless they only coated the outside of the tubing and not the inside.
