Take ac out? Theres not really too much you can do to these cars to make room since the engine bay is so cramped

there are a few easy things you can do. Remove the AIR system, get the new LS6 valley cover to get rid of the PCV tubing, re-route the hood latch cable, Hide the PCM wires in the fender well. Then you could also delete the TCS, and if you get a line lock kit/abs delete kit you can get ride of the whole abs block and lines. Just a few off the top of my head ideas

Relocating the coil packs does wonders in cleaning up the engine compartment.

coil pack relocation, ls6 pcv up grade, AIR removal, EGR removal, those 4 things will really clean up the engine bay

I would get fuel rail covers instead of messing with relocating coils. It will help hide all that mess.

clean engine bay there reckless. to the op ive been looking at holleys new valve covers, not the plastic ones that cover everything, but the actual tops that bolt to the engine, they have clean holders for the coils... not 100% they will fit ls1 though, it says ls3 on website

That was a real economical build. Did a 6.0L with stock crank in my garage. TH400, converter, 5.3L heads, shelf grind cam, lots of weight reduction. Those were uncoated Pacesetter headers that I welded 3-bolt collectors onto, then bolted on the 18-inch bullets. I was on a serious budget so I did all I could at home including making the little brackets for the coils and using a lot of spray paint
