factory SLP single outlet muffler?

Default factory SLP single outlet muffler?
my 98 ss had a factory single outlet muffler on it,was this from GM or a SLP thing?

All '98 SS's and WS6's got a 3" single out on the drivers side standard from GM.

really ive never seen a trans am that way,was it just a 98 thing?

For LS1 cars yes, that was exclusive for '98. I have only seen one SS in person with the single outlet and I wasn't a fan at all

lol yea its not very appealing,i had mine taken off a week after i had it,thre kinda rare i suppose maybe the dam thing is worth something to someone

Early 98's had the single 3 inch, mid year they changed to the dual tail pipes. 2otl is the rare one. If I'm not mistaken the single 3 inch used the standard muffler and the 2otl used a free flowing piece from slp.

its in really good shape to my surprise with all the mileage,no rust on it after 170k mile,it has been adult owned so maybe thats why it stood the test of time lol
