Ported Throttle Body Question
I just bought an SLP ported throttle body a few days ago. After looking at it, I found out that it has the shorter 98-99 throttle arm. (I've got a 2000 Z28) I knew there was a difference in the 98-99 & 00-02 throttle bodies but I didn't think to ask before buying it since it's semi-aftermarket.
So my question is how can I make it work with my engine. I've looked over the throttle body & it doesn't seem like there is any way to disassemble it & change the throttle arm out. Is it possible to change out my throttle cable for a 98-99 throttle cable? If so is it very hard to do?
I love rare parts & I would like to be able to make it work. If someone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it.
FWIW I don't think you really need to worry about the size of the TB cam/arm...

I actually installed it on Saturday & there was quite a bit of slack in my throttle, so I pulled it back off & I realized that the throttle arm was smaller. I removed the sensors & the throttle blade like you said, but I didn't know that you could push the cam/arm assembly out without damaging the throttle body.
