Default Problems after header install

I recently installed FLP headers and an ls6 intake manifold on my 98 TA. Now it seems like the car misses in the high rpms and there is a slight vibration around 2,000rpms in all forward gears. Any suggestions would be helpful. Besides the 02, EGR, and AIR codes the car is also throwing a MAF malfunction code and a left bank sensor code. Any suggestions on where to start looking to correct this problem?

Is your MAF installed the right direction?

Correct me if I am wrong somebody... but if the car is throwing O2, EGR, and AIR codes, it is going to run the engine rich... I think this is where your high RPM power is hiding. As for the vibration... any chance you jacked up the transmission to get the headers in there and they might be rubbing on each other?

Get an LS1edit tuning, and if you have aftermarket MAF ends, put the stock ones back on. Also, any chance you damaged the filaments in the MAF sensor in the process of all this?

I didnt touch the tranny during the process but I will check and see if anything is rubbing just incase, its a stock MAF I will check to make sure it is in the right way. Could something also be wrong with the spark plugs or wires, they are all connected and none touch the headers?

I doubt you have a problem with the wires and plugs, but you may as well check their connections just to be sure.

You defintiely need the LS1edit tuning to eliminate those codes... delete EGR, delete the rear O2s, delete AIR, and while you are at it, delete CAGS. Even if you weren't throwing those codes, headers would still have a tendancy to make the engine run rich... add that to the codes and I think you have a big part of your problem.

As for teh MAF malfunction and the left bank codes... your guess is as good as mine. All I can say is you may as well check and make sure everything is tightened down with no leaks.

I figured the left bank codes related to cylinders and stuff on the left side, therefore maybe a sparkplug or something is causes the misfire. I never had a code before this. I will check and make sure everything is tightened and check the plugs. Anyone else through the left bank code before?
