Default C5 mod help.

I'll start off by saying I've never seen under the hood of a C5 but I have done heads/cam on two F-bodys. I'm going to be putting a cam, headers, and intake in the C5 before long and I've got a few questions. This car has the stock LS1 intake on it (2000) so when it comes to upgrading the intake what is the best route. The most the owner wants is a 224 cam and hes planning the leave the stock converter if at all possible so a LS6 or equivalent will be good but how is the EGR/AIR system set up on the 2000 Vettes? Instead of paying the 600 for a new LS6 are the Holley and Weiand aluminum intakes just as good since they're 150-200 cheaper and are they stock throttle body friendly?

No EGR on c5s. I use a polished 85mm typhoon intake and love it with my cam. To get the rite gains though, use an ls2/3/7 90mm throttle. Not the stock 75mm that will limit gains. I used a new Ls7 90mm throttle body off ebay for $200. A caspers plug and play harness for $48 and a 4 bolt to 3 bolt ls2 to ls1 throttle body adaptor from CBM. When guys put a fast 92 on, they don't use the 75mm tbody, they use a NW 90 or such. That's why the fast shows higher gains than the typhoon. Most typhoon guys use the stock 75mm tbody. Blah.
I race my car and beat cars with 75rwhp more than me. My c5 weighs 3210 with a half tank of gas and me in it. I have a 6 speed though, with the stock 3:45 gears. The autos have either 2:73s or 3:15 gears. Here's an underhood shot of my car

Forgot to add, I had an ls6 and homeported throttlebody. After swapping to the 85mm typhoon and 90mm Ls7 throttle body, I notice a gain in the mid range and small gain on top end. Getting retuned on Friday so I'll update my dyno number in my typhoon thread. So i paid $395 for the polished intake with rails, $200 for a new 90mm Ls7 throttle body. And $48 for the wirning harness. Well worth it. $650 total, compaired to another aftermarket manifold going for $900 plus another $500 for an NW tbody. Thats $1400 for a few more horsepower . Not worth it. Plus looks better than anything out there. My mods love this intake. Mods in sig

Are C5s drive by wire or do they have the same TB as F bodys? But as far as getting it running, in order to do an intake swap technically all I need is the actual Professional products intake and gaskets and everything else is plug and play? No mods to the coolant crossover lines, valley pan bolts, or any other surprises? His car had the 315s but he bought one from a 6 speed (z06) so hes got the 3.45s. So there isn't a hole for the egr on the PP intake? I seen on the Weiand and Holley it looked they had the EGR hole so I didn't know if I would need a plug for it.

Yes, c5s are drive by wire. Huge advantage. Can use Ls2 thru ls7 throttle body's which are 90mm and a couple hundred new on ebay. Not a $ 500 + NW. Most manifolds come with a block off plate. Mine did. The kit came with valley panbolts. Cars that are 2000 and older will need to bend the cooling lines or use ls6 cooling lines. Your going to have to do this anyway if if only using an ls6 manifold.
the typhoon has a nice solid stock style MAP clip in the back. Not a cheap RTV stick em on kind. Nice threaded vacuum port and tee as well.
