Default Combustion Chamber Volume?

I just bought a torquer v3 cam for my 99 m6 z28. Along with that, I also purchased a set of stock 243 heads. I will be buying a slp ported oil pump along with double roller timing chain, and purchased the prc .650" dual valve spring kit as well as the trunion upgrade. Now, my question is - what on earth do I do with the heads? I want them milled, ported and polished, but have NO idea what specs would be best. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

Ok dude, a couple of things. You are in the external engine section. Pushrods etc go inside and that error seems to **** people off. Second, the pushrod question is asked every hour, on the hour...in the internal section. Best bet is to search using google as the site search sux. You can get a PhD in pushrod on here if you read for yourself.

Chamber volume is going to depend on what your long term plans will be, what the highest octane fuel you have in your area, and the size of your ***** relative to detonation. I run 61cc, 11.5:1 on 93 octane. I am nobody, but me setup is by Tony Mamo. Lots of folks use your cam, before you go crazy milling you will want to get a feel for piston to valve clearance...aka ptv. You may need to fly cut...but I know essentially nothing about that cam. Again I am no one, you should read.

GL on your mods and just take your time, read, and ask questions on what you don't understand. Just don't expect to be fed knowledge like a baby bird, you've gotta make the effort first or no one is gonna bother with you.
