Default BBK Chrome headers durability

So BBK has had headers out for some time now. I am trying to get some real world input on how the chrome is holding up. I know ceramic has benefits but I am looking into getting some feedback on the Chrome version.

Mine have been on for 2 years now. There's a little rainbow discoloration if you look very closely but the chrome is fully intact with no rust anywhere. I don't drive my car too much and it gets put away for the winter, but there have been a few unexpected rain showers and roughly 8000 miles. If they were regularly exposed to the elements, considering how hot they get, it could be a very different story.

I've had mine on for 2yrs now and idk how many miles but the parts near the the collector and the y-pipe aren't chrome anymore but more just a surface rust looking. But the actually headers that you can see r still chrome and just a little rainbow discoloration. Keep in mind I drive my car everyday rain or shine cold or hot. But they r really great so far

I hear ya on the price. I'm just curious how long they're going to last in a car exposed to the elements.

The BBK ory is stainless steel. My chrome LT's are holding up just fine, but I wasn't as concerned with the elements since it's stored inside. IF you have the money and want every hp out of you setup, go with TSP's 1 7/8 stainless LT's. Otherwise best bang for your buck is definitely BBK.

I've had mine on for a year now and the chrome on the headers is holding up well just a little rainbow colored and the y pipe looks good. For the price you can't beat the BBK headers and ory but if you have the money id go with the tsp 1 7/8 stainless.

March will be 2 years for my BBK headers and they still look amazing. Some discoloration but no rust anywere. Not on the Collectors or anyplace. They are still shinny. I will tell you that you do hear more valve noise through them then I did with my old headers but they fit perfectly with no rubbing and no clearance issue. Best 380.00 I have spent on the car!!
