Default Ebay header question

Im looking to get some stainless steel headers for my 2000 camaro and was looking at ebay ones to buy. I was just curious if there was any seller/place on ebay that sold headers that bolted up easily or if basically it's just a crap shoot as far as what you get when you buy ebay headers. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Crap shoot for ebay headers or anyone else's for that matter. Seems like every car is a little different as well. If you stick to the 1-3/4" primaries they tend to install a little easier.

I bought some stainless steel headers from ebay and they came in last week...ive heard of alot of people that have ran them fine with no problems. Some had trouble installing them because of fitment issues but others had good luck and they went on easily. Im in the middle of building a new motor so mine will be installed with the motor out and im getting new mounts. As far as the quality goes they seem alright they are light and seem a little thinner than my pacesetters.

If you want something low budget that has a better name for itself check out TSP's 1 7/8 headers for 499 you cant beat that price.

I was lookin at the tsp headers and everyone I've talked to said they are good for the price as well but i was looking to go a little cheaper which is why i was askin about ebay headers since they are almost half the price. Anyone have a good ebay seller of headers? I found this one site speeddaddy? Has anyone ever heard of them and if so were they good quality?

Try to find a used set as well. Might not be all new and shiny, but will perform just as well and save you some cash. I got mine for $325 shipped. Have no complaints.

Id recommend doing poly motor mounts. They'd help keep the headers off the k member and less clearancing. I bought mine from speed daddy also.

I couldn't find that seller on ebay, but I have read about the primaries being 1 5/8" not 1 3/4". I emailed one seller but never heard back.

This description only says the inlet/outlet is 1.75" but makes no mention of the primary diameter.

Correction. The sellers name has an underscore in it which is why I couldn't find him.

The description does confirm that the primaries are 1 5/8". Bummer...

We have some pretty awesome deals on Kooks. They do cost a little more, but you get a lifetime warranty, and some of the best headers on the market. If you have questions, call us @ 443-730-9428!

I don't think it matters which seller you buy from. I have eBay headers on my car... they fit pretty damn good, just had to notch the K-member (not a big deal, probably wouldn't have been necessary if I did motor mounts). But if I could do it again I'd buy the TSP stainless headers, they cost more than the eBays but they do not have emissions fittings, and they have the 02 bungs welded on the correct sides.

I bought from Speed Daddy, everything fit well but you're probably going to need a custom y-pipe. But sometimes those are as cheap as what you get buy on here, and if you know a good shop it'll fit perfect.

Ebay headers and a cat'd y-pipe made enough power to take my bird to a 7.6 in the 1/8th mile. Bolt ons, ls6 intake, and only weight mods were no back seat or spare tire.

I didn't have any fitment issues with my ebay headers. Bolted right up, cleared the k-member fine. Do the motor mounts at the same time though. Way easier with the headers off. You'll be able to change plugs in less than 10 mins after the install too.

Tip: Put the o2 sensors in BEFORE you bolt them up or have a machine shop move the bung to the other side (inside). MLS gaskets work the best. And I had the egr and air delete so I had mine welded up. Cost $20.

I recommend BBK LTs and ory. My installation of my BBK LTs was a breeze. They look great and you also get the ORY so you covered there. I got mine from The WS6 Store for just 360 bucks. I think thats a great deal. But good luck!!
