If you like the sound of a ragged out farm truck, I'm sure it sounds good to you.

Lol yeah well I do like the idle and WOT a lot, but the rest has no tone and is so damn raspy in the lower rpms. The Magnaflow sounds like the perfect compromise to me.

Anyone else have an opinion on the tips? Since money is a bit tight at this point, i'm thinking of doing some type of single tip for each side instead of the dual/dual that I have now...not a big fan of that. If I go that route what size tips look best on these cars? I'm thinking 3"-3.5" personally, but would love to get other thoughts as well. Also what length tip do you all prefer? I see some that have the right diameter and look, but look too short in such a way that i'm concerned that it will be noticed from a side view if you know what I mean. What brand tips look best? I'm kind of torn between the slash cut single wall and the rolled ones at the moment

Thanks again for all the help guys

3.5" would look the best, either single or dual.

These were the ones I had on my Camaro in the video.

But if you're dead set on single tips, I'd recomment these

The first ones you've posted dr whigham are similar to the SLP ones that I have now, and want to get away from. Now my possible concern with the single ones you posted are that they might be visible from a side view in such a way that they would show where the tips clamp onto the piping. Know what I mean? I personally don't like that, and would prefer a clean look that shows the tips only from the side if that makes sense. Do you know if that would be the case with these?

You won't see the sides.

I too ditched my SLP dual tips bc they were too damned small! The duals I posted are corsa clones, each outlet is 3.5" and makes a world of difference. They're on the car in my video.

I love my magnamouth w/my corsa clones. Originally had LM1 with crooked dual/dual tips on it. God it looked horrible haha

Very cool guys! I have an appointment next week to see what it will cost to cut and paste a Magnaflow in place of the LM resonator. I'm hoping it won't be more than a couple hours labor, because this is not something I want (or can) to spend a lot on right now lol

I'm in Lapeer MI...shouldn't cost much. I was only charged $25 to disconnect and weld in place. They will have to cut more pipe since the resonator is a tad longer than the LM1 if I remember correctly

Okay guys here's the deal...The shop I took it to said that due to lack of space I could not fit the Magnaflow muffler in place of the SLP resonator. So with that in mind they recommended leaving the resonator in place, and having a muffler welded in the rear where the stocker usually goes. So my question now is what would be one of the loudest Magnaflow mufflers that I could have in the rear? Keep in mind it has to be the single in, dual out type...not like the Magnaflow 14419 that I was originally looking at. Since I will keep the resonator, I don't want to quiet it too much by adding a muffler that's on the quieter side AND resonator on top of it if you know what I mean

Yes that is correct. Apparently it's slightly bigger than the LM 1 resonator that I currently have, and I simply don't have the space

Exactly. My car doesn't have anymore room than yours. And I cut out the lm1 resonator and slid that magnaflow right in. It's slightly larger but still has plenty of room.

I have had one shop tell me that it is not possible to run true dual exhaust on my car, I told them that that was funny since Kooks makes a true dual kit. The same shop told me that I couldn't run true duals on my tahoe (which has duals into the muffler stock, 2in/1out muffler) and told my friend that it wasn't possible to run true duals on his mustang. This guy also claims there is no need for any crossover in dual exhaust, no X or H pipe, just one off each collector straight to the back. Point is lots of shops just don't want to mess with it, it doesn't mean they are right or that it is true.

Exactly. Shops are lazy. I'd go in and say what I want. Maybe even show pictures. If they don't wanna touch it, make sure you let them know that other shops will, and that's where you're headed.
