Default 1 7/8 vs 2 headers

What would be better for my car 1 7/8In headers or 2in headers? Eventually I'm going to do heads and cams

Need some more information about your car. Is it a stock LS1 with the future of a heads and cam setup or do you plan to stick in a 400+c.i. in with forced induction? 1 7/8's are probably your best bet reguarless of the setup you have planned unless you expect to be pumping a ridiculous amount of air through your engine, and keep in mind a massive exhaust set up is no good if your intake won't allow more in. Tell us about your ride, the way it is now and your ideal future mods.

I have a 2001 Firebird. I'm about to put on a FAST 102mm intake manifold and a 92mm throttle body. I plan on putting on heads and cams in the future.

1 7/8 is plenty. The restriction is going to be what you run after the collectors such as a "Y pipe" or "True Duals".
