I recently went to replace my fuel pump with the racetronix pump. When putting everything back together, we put a little gas in the bucket to see if the check valve was good or not, and gas came out the bottom. I called up local parts shops and sure enough, no one sells just the valve at the bottom. Has anyone had their check valve go bad? Is there a way to just buy the valve, or do you have to buy the whole bucket?

I've never heard of them being sold separately. The one in my Silverado is bad and it's a pain in the butt because you have to prime the truck 2-3 times before it will start.
I'm thinking of trying an external check valve in the fuel line for $40 instead of a $250 POS fuel pump that may or may not get the same problem within a year.
