Default remove map sensor connection sucking air

The piece the map sensor plugs into on the back of the intake.... How does that come off? I was able to twist mine but never to get it out. I think it is sucking air.

the map sensor is just pushed in there it has a grommet around it. Sometime it can have a small screw holding in in also.

Oh ****....yea misread what you were posting, the map sensor is removable, but the port it goes into is part of the manifold, as stated above ^^

Don't twist.... oops.

If it is not suppose to come out then I should be able to get away with applying a sealent to prevent the leak. It feels to be coming from that part connected to intake. It is where the brake hose vacuum and map sensor connect to the intake.

^ what he said..any plastic glue/weld would work. but if you're sure its sucking air (which i doubt) make sure its sensor friendly, your O2s could go bad from some fumes. it happened to mine once. not 100% sure it was the cause but nothing else was applied to the car. good luck.

Jb water weld is what i like. Its a puddy that's ready to use, no mixing. Very easy to work with. Held a large crack on the radiator elbow of my bmw for weeks while the part was being shipped.

Thanks everyone.

I was thinking use alcohol to remove dirt/grime and then use RTV to seal the outside of it.

IF that don't work... JB weld is great. Will look for the water weld... not used that before.

Here is to a car weekend

This. I always wipe a seam of black RTV around them just for extra insurance. They have o'ring seals on them though.
