Going single in/out, need thoughts
Going single in/out, need thoughts I am going single in/out, its been decided. Reasons why are bc the car is originally a v6 firebird so it has the formula wing and rear bumper which i prefer to the trans am styling and it will look good without tailpipes, just threw on a brand new y pipe since the last was cracked and the only reason i wont go duals and waste the money i put in it, and also hoping this makes it louder then current setup.
Current setup is 1 7/8 headers, tsp 3" y, and hooker aerochamber catback.
This setup sounds much better than my previous ls1 with flowmaster, but the current car is a h/c/i forged car compared to stockish so its a lot different but still very quiet when not WOT.
Questions are -
Will i need an offset location inlet to connect with the over axle piece?
What kinda muffler do you think that will wake up the idle/cruising sounds and keep the aggressive non-popping non-rasping WOT sounds?
What kinda length muffler would be good, as well as could overall length change the sound or enhance it?
ALSO if you dont want to post links to a manufacturers product or such please pm me with the info and your thoughts.

Install a Magnaflow 14419 (4" dia. 14" case L) and then a 90* mandrel bend. It'll be loud but liveable, and with the short 90* bend on the end of it the exhaust can still shoot out the rear.
BTW I have a short 90* bend off the end of my muffler, when you can see it it still looks good but is out of sight most of the time.

it will prolly be raspy if you go that way. it will sound mean at idle and wot but around 2200 rpm it will sound like crap. some people like it some people dont, but its your car so do what you want.
