Burned Headers..anyone had them?

Burned Headers..anyone had them?

I posted about this in the tuning section, and I haven't had any responses, which is freaking me out a little.

My headers (ceramic coated) are toasted after a cam (TSP 231/237) and a dyno tune. Is this normal? I know on supercharged cars it is a given, but I thought maybe I wouldn't get burned headers with an N/A setup. The headers were pretty much brand new before the install. Has anyone else had toasted headers after a cam install? I don't mind too much that it happened, I just want to make sure everything is OK. A/F is between 12.9 and 13.2 for the entire dyno pull.

That normally means it's real lean..

Does that A/F look too lean? Could it possibly be running too lean under part throttle?

Whoa, got some major A/F problems there my friend.

I've had coated longtubes on my ride for a good 3 years with 410rwhp and they look new (slightly duller than new, anyway).
