Mike can you take measurements similar to the ones BlackDuk took and see the difference at that specific part of the intake?

No way its fitting under stock unmolested cowl. Even if it did IMO it wouldn't be worth it especially NA.

Is it worth taking a risk on, who knows. I'm running 15psi of boost, so I'm sure my original FAST 90 is leaking like a bitch under boost, so who knows, I may try it.
Why do you think your FAST 90 is leaking under boost? Have you actually tested it? Thought the FAST's were pretty decent with boost IIRC.

I think a lot of the market for this intake would be towards forced induction apps IMO

Some are known to crack under certain amounts of boost. I don't have any first hand knowledge with that but have seen it happen to others before...

Looks like we won't be seeing any of these intakes in an un-cut F-Body.

it says on the holley website it is for supercharged and turbo charged vehicles. sucks they made a "mini-ram" and it still doesnt even fit under the stock hood.

Not necessarily. He said the tallest part of the intake is 10.1in, and that is the front by the way it slopes up. If the FAST is 6in and has right around 3in of clearance, there is a chance that if the Holley slopes down enough it will fit with some massaging to the cowl (not cutting)

If you look at pic 2 and 3 that Mike posted, I think he has the intakes perfectly even bolt hole to bolt hole. That 2nd pic where it shows a side profile......I don't think the intake tapers off to the back anywhere near where we all want it to be. If the highest part is at the turndown elbow @10.1", that back where I measured mine @ isn't near 2" lower than the front. Even lowering the k-member 1/2" won't do anything. I don't see a no-cut situation here, I would like to be wrong. If the back of the Holley intake is 1" lower than the tallest point, and an idea that I have below could do another 1", then that may account for 2", but I still don't think enough.

Massaging, That would mess w/ the cowl plastic / hood seal and maybe hood closing. But I think w/ my hood closed I can squish the seal .5", and maybe some heat applied to the plastic to soften it up to comform around a shape, this may give another .5" of room w/ the possibility of another .5" w/ a k-member drop.... or somebody make a fiberglass cowl / wiper piece w/ the clearance molded in so you can still use a hood seal? And possibly you would have to cut that part of the hood brace out to go over the new "clearance hump so you can still run a hood seal for those of us w/ no garage... I apologize if these ideas sound crazy, it's sleepiness talking.

I havent had a customer install one of these yet so I couldnt be sure of fitment on F-Bodies right now. Does this picture help?

The 10.1" dimension I got was in the dead center of the intake. Heres a Holleyt Drawing that shows the dimensions at each end.

Guys it will not fit even with massaging. You will need to cut the cowl and plastic pieces for it to fit. Even with a lowered K-member it will not fit without cutting. Easy to see from post #58 pics.

Yeah there is just no way around it. Even with the few ideas that I mentioned, there would still be 2"+ left on the table to account for. Gotta cut.

I take back my previous ideas because while looking through some pics I had when I was chasing a leak and removed the cowl plastic pieces, the pics I found just told me flat out "no deal"

I don't know for certain, I'm just referencing what a lot of people have said.

I'm interested as well, only because I think it will get stomped out by a stock LS6 intake.

Hopefully someone will install one. I really want to run one of the Holley intakes on my turbo set up, but I dont want to delete my wipers. I guess it is something to think about.

It would also be nice to see comparisons of the Holley Hi-Ram vs the Mini-Ram, just to see if you are giving anything up to run the Mini-Ram.

Well if this intake ends up being a bust, not all hope is lost. Check out this thread...
