That's a first for a kooks or to not cause rasp, especially compared to true dual.
What muffler?

A true dual setup should make a decent more bit than an ory with a muffler.
You surrenders the true duals were up to par?

Magnaflow flows very well. I think years ago I saw it was pretty good up to about 450rwhp without much loss. With a good Y-Pipe you don't really need true duals until you cross 450, but you might pick up a little torque under the curve as opposed to a Y-Pipe...

My buddy was looking at both of these headers. He was looking at doing 1 7/8 in either kooks, arh, or TSP.. You can save the money and go with TSP but i wonder how much more hp will the pricier header make?

If only TSP true dual system would fit with kooks and arh headers..

They are all pretty similar in design so I think the power difference is minimal. It comes down to ease of installation and durability. Since TSP now offers a SS header, and *if* the fitment issues are nonexistent, then I think TSP has won this round...

I wonder who manufactures the TSP header?

Thanks for all the responses so far!

Anyone ever fit up kooks headers to a TSP catted Y? If I can't do this, I almost have to go with the TSP headers since I already have a TSP catted Y on the car and don't plan on going to TD's yet. I really don't want to get the kooks ORY because I plan on going TD's in the future and I have a GMMG catback so it will just be ridiculous with no cats.

Well, there are three options for true duals: TSP's dumped system, Kook's out the back, and something custom. TSP's headers could probably work with all of them, but I'm not sure you'd be saving much going with them if you go custom or need to modify the Kooks. The TSP system is out for me because I' going to have a lowered car, want tips (have a T/A), and don't want a dumped loud *** exhaust.

Really, I hate GM for not at least putting 2.5" duals on the car. I mean, seriously. The underpan of the car was unchanged for like 40 years.

Omg, I thought there were more TD options out there... Also, I can't believe TSP TD's aren't stainless, WTF? For that price I can easily have a custom system made that will no doubt fit better. This throws a huge wrench in my plans. Maybe I will be picking up kooks headers and Y pipe because there's no way I'm putting anything but stainless on.

Bassani makes a "true" dual... it's stainless, goes under the axle, and terminates into one muffler...

Kooks makes a stainless true dual system that bolts right up to their headers and I'm sure Maryland Speed can get you an unbeatable deal on the both. And keep in mind the quality, and customer service that comes with the price you pay for the Kooks is fantastic. If I was to ever get rid of my GMMG the only other thing I would run would be their TD kit.

I got Kooks TD's after going H/C, my GMMG was just too loud. A bit of a PIA to fine tune getting all the adjustemnts just right but you'll never have to buy another exhaust system. And it only weighs 4lbs more than my old Kooks y-pipe and GMMG setup.

Here are some pictures..include one comparing the old collector to the new merge one. This header is a 6501-RHS race header with 1 7/8" Primaries, and 3" Merge collector.

Forgive me if this has been asked already but what is the benefit of an extra 02 for wideband tuning?

So the kooks TD's are quieter than your GMMG? I have a GMMG on right now with pacesetter headers and a catted TSP Y pipe. What headers and Y pipe did you have on?

Mine is just a tad too loud for me but I know it will get louder with 1-7/8" headers and H/C.
