Default Z06 MAF - 25168491 - purple female connector - Help to ID

I need some help identifying connector I need for this MAF... has anyone ever seen this type of input and what kind of car does it originate from? my stock 5 pin connector did not match up. I purchased this MAF off of ebay based on part number, description, and photo. does anyone know why input connector is different?

Three images below:
1. MAF and male connector from harness. Notice female on MAF has purple molding.
2. MAF part number
3. Close up of MAF female connector.

I'm thinking the purple part in your MAF is part of another connector, and once you pop it out carefully with a little pick or something, your plug will go in. No actual experience with this, but have seen the same thing with the rubber seals in Weatherpack connectors.
