Default Serious cam help!

Ok guys so I need some assistance. Im planning on my cam swap in my SS for two weeks and ive just been rounding up parts for it

So far I have

PAC .650 dual springs
Titanium retainers
ls2 timing set
Trickflow 7.400 pushrods

And ive just ordered my TSP Torquer v2 cam

now I dont need to know all the little things that I "should" get but my biggest question is do I need injectors? I have no clue about the fuel system on this car and what it can handle.

This is a total budget build. Ive bought alot of my stuff used so minus the cam im only into it 120 bucks for everything I listed above.

Please help me out here guys.. what do I need?

Injectors would be recommended just for the safe side. Stock injectors max out around 400 horse so with the just a cam swap you will be pushing that limit pretty close. It's all about the duty cycle. I have a set of LS7 injectors in my car and they're running about a 65% duty cycle on them right now so plenty of room to grow.

How much did you pick up your injectors for? im sure their are used ones around.. would you say the ls7 injectors would be a good route for my build? id like some room to grow too as I will be swapping heads and intake in december.. I have been looking at some bosch 36lb ones and they are super cheap but I havent heard good things about bosch either.. so idk.. what would you suggest?

01transampower is right.. when i had my cam only set up on stock injectors i was running my injectors at 90%.. so just about maxed out and that was on the torquer v2 putting down 391whp. If you're tight on cash you can get away with your stock injectors but would def recommend getting a set of injectors while you're at it

I found a used set on the classifieds here on the forum for $225. Which is not a bad deal concidering that they require height adapters since they are shorties and also a plug adapter since the newer cars went to a different style of plug. It came with everything. Now the ls3 and ls7 injectors are the same so either would work. The ls2 injectors dont flow as much as the ls3/ls7 injectors but they will also give you room to grow. Also the old styl Ford green top 42lbs will work or the ford 32lbs will work they are like an orangish red. Both are no longer made so if you can find them great if not try to find the ls2 or ls3/ls7 injectors,

Steer clear of bosch. They work but like me I had problems getting my car to pass emissions with my bosch 42lbs. Now i pass everything with the new ls7 injectors.

I'm still running stock injectors and I haven't had any probs, but then again I'm on a mail tune and have no idea about what duty cycle I'm at...I would look for a used set of 32/36 lb injectors...I've seen them for like 125-150...tuner can make it so stock injectors will work but u might leave some power on the table like me...

Im using fast 36lbs injectors with TSP torq v2, with the TFS heads the idc is around 70% still plenty of room to grow

I'll say try FIC, i heard they're selling good injectors for decent price

Ive also been looking into doing a mail tune. who did yours? if I can get away with not doing injectors for the time being than im all for it. If I can max out the stock ls1 Injectors and be ok til I add my ls6 intake and TB than I can live with it. so far im only into this about 500 bucks and the tune is the only other thing i would need if I dont also need injectors
