Default Thermostat Bolts Loosen / Don't Tighten

Replaced the thermostat and water pump two months ago and I've noticed my thermostat bolts don't stay tightened and they feel like their never tight enough, I could remove them as if they weren't properly tightened, is it stripped from thermostat housing or water pump?

Try a little lock tight and torque it down. Edit. If the holes are striped get a different water pump

More than likely the bolt holes are stripped. The water pump is whats threaded. Only options are buy another water pump or drill it to a slightly bigger size and tap new threads. If its a reman from a local auto parts it should have a warranty. If you don't think you did it take it back but then again they may try to say you did it. If nothing else just tell them it leaks or something. It kind of looks like they're rtv in there? If it is that glue will get down in the threads and destroy them.
