Ls newbie, all help is good I am new to the ls world and doing some research and all input is welcomed. I have a 1984 cutlass with a built 700r4 and wanted to put in a 6.0 lq9 but not sure if that is the best bet, also where is the best place to get a donor vehicle at a good price. Has anyone done ls motors in g bodies? I want to keep it fuel injected, keep same tranny. What and where is good place to get motor mounts, crossmember, harnesses, PCM, headers vs stock manifolds because they say manifolds are real high flow on these. I wanted to get over 400 hp so I thought changing the cam would be the best way. Thanks in advance.

I bought both my engine off ebay auctions from salvage yards. I found auctions that didn't sell at the buy it now price, then contacted direct and emailed a lowball offer. Both took it.
Btw, if you want 400hp out of an LQ9, you might not need a cam, just exhaust and performance tune.
